Our darkest, thickest and heaviest brews will all be made at these brew fests. This is not for the entry level beer drinker. Join us to brew: Black Satin Stout, Big Boy Stout, and the Robust Porter.  This is for those who want their beverage opaque and full of malt flavor. In 2 weeks these beers will be ready for you to bottle, take home and enjoy as you hunker down for the long winter nights ahead.

No brewing experience necessary!. Space is limited.

The Citra Zombie Hoptimist

A little west coast, a little east coast for this brewing event. On this evening, we will feature Pale Ales and IPAs that feature cirta in the hope schedule.

For this event, you choose how many cases you’d like to take home. Join us and brew with others, then return in 2 weeks for bottling. No beer brewing experience necessary – we teach you how, with guaranteed results!

Valentine’s Day Tasting Event
Dessert Wine Tasting, Making & Bottling

This is a great opportunity to get a selection of port and dessert wines at an excellent value. On this evening, we will be tasting, making and bottling a selection of ports and dessert wines. Small chocolate-type snacks will be provided No experience necessary – we teach you how, with guaranteed results! Bottles and labels are included.

Grab your teacher friends and escape during winter break! Join us to “taste, make, and take” a great selection of white and red wines perfect for the week off. Participants will taste wine and learn how to make, bottle, and label. Each winemaker will take home 6 bottles for $60. Bottles and labels are included.

Beechwood Lager

Sunday, February 23rd at 2pm

For you Budweiser and Bud Light drinkers, this event is for you. On this night we will be brewing two different beers. First, our Beechwood Lager, our salute to Budweiser…. (just more flavor, for real). The second will be Another Fine Lager, a smooth American Light Lager just as American as Baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. 4.5% abv.

You will return in 2 weeks for bottling, and you’ll have them to enjoy for the holiday season. No brewing experience necessary, we’ll teach you everything you need to know to make great beer.

St. Patrick’s Celebration

An Irish toast begins “May your glass be ever full.” The Irish have a way with words and a way with great beer. You’ll brew our 3 best Irish beers: Irish Dry Stout, Double Dublin and Irish Red Ale. Join us for a wee-bit of brewin’ and return in 2 weeks for bottling (which happens to be just in time for St. Patrick’s Day). Everyone gets a variety case to take home. Fill a few pints and toast to good will and happiness. As an old Irish saying goes: “For every wound, a balm. For every sorrow, cheer. For every storm, a calm. For every thirst, a beer.”

Session IPA & Pilsner

With the arrival of Spring many look for a lighter beer. Here is your opportunity to brew a fun variety of lighter recipes. Together we will brew a Pilsner (Wicked Czechy), and a Session IPA (Chillax). All are light, easy drinking, and fun.

TOP 3 IPA

Our top 3 IPAs of 2018 will be brewed on this evening. Here is your opportunity to brew a fun variety of these recipes. Together we will brew Midnight Snack, Teddy Hopper, and our Hoptimist IPAs. All are loaded with several generous addition of dry hops.

Seville Orange Sangria
Winemaking, Tasting & Bottling Event!

Thursday, March 28th 6 PM
$60 per 6 bottles (bottles & labels included)

Fresh and sweet juicy flavors are balanced by the bitterness of the Seville Orange in this popular red wine. You will participate in a wine tasting, a hands-on wine making and bottling experience, and take 6 bottles home at the end of the event.

March Meadness
Mead Making Event!

Sunday March 31st at 3PM
$60 per 6 bottles (bottles & labels included)

Ancient records of mead go back thousands of years, making it perhaps man’s first fermented beverage. Mead (Honey Wine) is easy to produce and even easier to enjoy. We will make traditional Mead from Orange Blossom and Wildflower Honey and our popular Green Apple Mead.

You’ll assist in making mead from different local honey sources. We will provide light snacks. Return in 6 weeks for bottling (Sunday, May 12th at 3:00 PM) and take home 6 bottles to age and enjoy.

Belgian Split-a-Batch Brewing Event

Thursday, April 4th at 6pm
$30 for returning brewers (bring your own bottles)

Come brew our 3 most popular Belgian recipes!

Belgian White: Made with a unique combination of barley malt, wheat malt and oatmeal, this beer is characterized as tart and slightly acidic with a distinctive aroma of wheat and malt. The addition of coriander and bitter orange peel completes this complex and enjoyable beer.

Trappist Dubbel: Fairly sweet, reddish brown, malty, lightly hopped and nearly 8% alcohol…no wonder the monks didn’t speak. Trappist Ale yeast and all imported Belgian malts make this one as authentic as we can get.

Belgian Tripel: This strong ale strikes the perfect balance of spiciness, light hop flavor, impressive alcohol content, pleasant sweetness and a clean dry finish. Heavenly!

NEW Light-n-Sweet Wines

On this night you will participate in a wine tasting, a hands-on wine making and bottling experience, and take 6 bottles home at the end of the event. We are offering people three NEW and popular sweet wines. Kiwi-Pear Sauvignon Blanc, Strawberry Watermelon White Shiraz, and Pineapple Pear Pinot Grigio.

Limited Wine Release
Winemaking, Tasting & Bottling Event!

Thursday April 11th 6 PM

Each year we purchase a small quantity of limited edition wines from our suppliers. Over the years, we have found that these offerings are of the highest quality. Our suppliers carefully select these varieties from world class wine regions. On this evening we will be bottling and making wine. Each winemaker will go home with 6 bottles of wine, 3 of each variety. Here are the wines we are featuring: California Black Cab (dry red), New Zealand Fumé Blanc (dry white), Okanagan Meritage Style (red w/ grape skins).

Denali NEIPA

Saturday, April 20th at 4pm

On this night we will brew a NEIPA featuring a NEW hop. Denali, formerly Hopsteiner experimental #06277, has a big aroma that imparts pineapple with notes of citrus and pine. This new hop is popular with brewers who are looking for a distinct, impactful flavor in their beers. Denali has an unusually high total essential oil content, averaging more than 4 grams oil/100 grams of raw hops.

White-n-Sweet

We are bringing back three of our newer and popular wines this evening. Cucumber Melon Sauvignon Blanc, Coconut Yuzu Pinot Gris and Peach Perfection to round out some nice variety. You will participate in a wine tasting, a hands-on wine making and bottling experience, and take 6 bottles home at the end of the event.

S’Mores Stout

Friday, April 26th at 6pm

A complex stout brewed with graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow, and smoked malt. The rich hearty flavors seem to take their turn as the subtle graham aromas lead pleasantly into sweet flavors of marshmallow cream covered in chocolate. All is followed by a slight lingering flavor of smoke. No brewing experience necessary, we’ll teach you everything you need to know to make great beer.

Barleywine Split-a-Batch Brewing Event

Thursday, May 3rd at 6pm
$40 for returning brewers (bring your own bottles)
$50 for new brewers (bottles provided)

Once a year, we bring out the big guns for the strongest of ales! We include several different recipes for this Brewfest including our Trappist, California Citra, and English versions. These beers are reserved for the hardiest of tastes as they come in at 11% ABV, need 3 weeks to ferment and require patient cellar aging.
